Class 10"'/Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For boards following grading system of D grade (33% - 40%) in individual subjects or equivalent of grade
which contains 33% and overall aggregate in C2 grade or equivalent corresponding to 45% in aggregate.

10+2 lntermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.

OR

10+2 lntermediate exam pass from any recognized State Education Board or Central Education Board to include NIOS and lTl course of minimum one year in required field with NSQF level 4 or above.

Soldier Tech Nursing Assistant (AMC) / Nursing Assistant Vetennary

17 ½ – 23

10+2 / Intermediate Pass In Science With Physics, Chemistry, Biology And English With Minimum 50% Marks In Aggregate And Minimum 40% In Each Subject.

Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper (Technical) (All Arms)

17 ½ – 23

10+2 Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts /Book Keeping in Class Xll is mandatory.

Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms) 1Oth pass

(i) Class 10th simple pass.

(ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage, but should have scored 33% in each subiect.

Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms) 8th pass

Career in Indian Army

Recruitment in the Army is broad based. Every male citizen, irrespective of caste, class, religion and domicile, is eligible for recruitment into the Army, provided he meets the laid down age, educational, physical and medical standards.

Recruitment in the Army is carried out by Army Recruiting Offices carrying each district under its jurisdiction at least once a year. The Recruitment programme is published in local newspapers, and also publicized through other media, preferably one month prior to the conduct of the rally by the concerned Army Recruiting Offices. The process of screening and enrolment is as follows :

  • Checking of documents.
  • Physical Fitness Test.
  • Physical Measurement Tests.
  • Medical Examination.
  • Written Examination.
  • Preparation of Merit List and Allotment of Arms and Services.
  • Enrolment & Dispatch of selected candidates to Training Centres.
